Bubble Bath

This is a really fun and different product shot. It definitely has that fun and colorful feeling that really would appeal to children.  The bubbles really come forward in the foreground and background, and the I like the look of the faded away bubbles in the background. The lighting on the products is light and you can read all the small text on each individual product. Overall the lighting is nice, and the composition is set up well.

DKNY watch

 This is a really really cool photo. I love the way all the elements are weaving together and overlapping over each other and the way the composition is tilted gives a lot of energy and movement and interest to the photo. The lighting is nice because it really reflects on all the shiny gold and the silver of the watch really still manages to pop against all the busy elements of the background. The rose in the background is also a really nice touch because it gives that different texture to the background and really helps pop the watch forward in the composition.

Phillips

This is another great example of nice looking product photography, I love the lighting in each and the way it creates this really nice expensive, sleek look. The lighting on the blades looks really nice especially with the way the light color pops against all the black of the background and the product itself. I really love the highlights on both sides on the left because it really shows that brand new, sleek and shiny look.

Watch

This is a really great product shot. There is really a statement being made here that says the watch is marketed towards someone sporty, or athletic. The way the water looks as if its dripping off the watch makes it look like its just been through water, and its very rugged looking in a good way. The set up of the composition is nice because the watch if facing the empty space and it really helps give a slight diagonal feeling to the composition. 

Sprite

This is a really nice example of a product shot, I like the way the items were set up in the composition, it is very balanced. I love that the bubbles were captured in the glass, which really helps make it look cold, fresh, and carbonated. The bubbles are also captured a little bit in the sprite which keeps the items from looking flat and dull like they have been sitting there for a long time. The items are nicely set up and the elements all look good. 

Red Nails

I really love the lighting in this photo. I love that half of her face is hidden with the shadows and the levels overall look really nice. The red color of the lips and nails really pops on this dark composition. The way that she is looking down and over her shoulder also really helps to lead your eye around the composition, overall the setup and the lighting really create a mysterious effect with this photo. 

Old man

This is a really stunning photograph. The black and white really brings out a serious emotion which really compliments the look on the mans face in the photograph. It's almost easy to image there's a whole story behind the man and you can really see a lot of character in his face. The levels are really nicely done and the face really stands out against the background. 

Revlon

This is another nice looking magazine advertisement for revlon nail polish. The black background really helps to bring forward the bright colors of the red as well as the brightness in the models face. The brown in the eyes and the reds of the nails and lips are very bright and eyecatching, and the text layout looks really nice bringing back the reds of the photo and being placed well in the composition. Overall it's a simple and nice looking ad. 

Alexandre accessories

This is another nice magazine ad for hair accessories. The black in the dress and the background make the product look very fashionable, high class, and expensive. The photo is edited really nicely and you can see that the eye was really brightened and it really draws your attention because it is the only item of color in the entire ad.  The arrangement of the composition works because the model is looking straight at the info which also helps to draw your attention to the brand name. Overall it was a nicely placed ad.

Starbucks Coffee

This is a nice looking photograph and ad for starbucks. The photograph is slightly off center and the blurred out background really helps to bring the text forward and help to draw attention to the cup on the right. The green at the bottom is perfect for tying the whole ad together and bringing color and attention to the brand and product. 

Axe Twist

This is a really nice product shot, I love the green glow in the water and the way it relates to what the product is. The diagonal of the product gives a lot of action as well as the active splash happening in the photo. The lighting on the bottle is also really nice in that the black bottle doesnt blend in with the black background at all.

Marchesa

This is another really glamourous product shot. The lighting and colors are really beautiful and it really translates to me as high class, diamonds, and very expensive sort of product based on not only the bottle, but the glittery background, the clear shot and the soft lighting on the product. The blue coming up from behind looks really nice and really separates the product from blending in with the similar colors of the background.

Heineken

This is another really awesomely lit product photo. The greens in the bottle manage to not blend in with the green background as well as the green liquid splashing against it. You can easily see all the shades and hues and the glittery reflections on the water really provide a nice contrast against the dark green and black background.

B'ham bold

This is another really different approach at a product shot. I really like both the composition and the way that the product was lit. The red of the bottle really comes through against the black and the reflections of light on the rest of the bottle are a really nice contrast against the black background. The smoke and ice is also lit really well to show the light behind the object as well as fading out the ice around the edge of the photograph where it is not as important.

Manischewitz

This photo has a really different look than the other product shots that Ive posed. You can tell that this is something very basic that you might see in a walmart catalog. You can tell that the labels were probably brightened and cleaned up to look crisp and clean, and the lighting is very basic and the shot is straight on. But this is a product that you really can't sell by glamoring it up like the high heels. It's something that people buy if they want it, and this basic shot is perfect for just making it look like a basic grocery item. 

Heels

This photo really achieves a certain look and its definitely not  something you would see in a walmart catalog. The little bit of yellow in the reflection on the shoe really gives a firey look as well as the high contrast between the light hitting the shoe and the black background. The low angle that the photo was taken at really makes the shoes look large and important as well.

Nail Polish

This photo has really nice lighting as well. All the elements are very reflective and even the surface looks reflective, but the nail polish remains lit kind of softly and you can see that the background was lit as well, which really gives a look like it wasn't set up, like an object on a table, like it just happened in a room. The shades all look great. 

Pepsi

I really like the way that this product was lit. The angle they took the photo makes this product look really nice because it looks very large and important.  The lighting is really soft for this can which is very reflective, even with the little water droplets the light makes it look very dimensional and contrasted.

Model Contrast

This is another black and white photo that has a nice contrast to it. The eyes really pop and come through as the brightest and most eye catching aspect of the photo. I love the background as well the fact that it fades from light to dark really helps to provide contrast between her black hair and the lighter shades in the background. The face could use more levels because her skintones are looking flat, but otherwise the contrast is nice. 

black and white model

I really like the levels on this black and white portrait. I love the way that the bright blue eyes look against the darkness of her features and the rest of the photo. I love that the eyes are the brightest and most eye catching thing in the photo as well as having this mesmerizing look just by having so much contrast between the rest of the photo, especially the lightness in the background coming from behind.There are a lot of tones and shades in this photo which makes for a really interesting black and white portrait.
